Multi-dish question

Hello, all.

I have a customer that has a dual dish system (Dish Network, btw) with one
dish pointing to the regular satelites, and one pointing to an Asian
satelite, or satelites, I'm not sure. Anyway, each dish has a dual LNB, and
they go into a Dish Network multi-Dish switch with four inputs and two
outputs. (And the moron who installed this in Plano Texas ran the cable
about a third of the way around the house in the gutter, but that is not the
issue here.)

The question is, what multi-switch do I use to add a third location? I
realize this is trivial for some, but I am learning as I go. I had figured I
had the multi-switches figured out, then I saw this. I will do some more
research, and I am assuming there is a four in, 4 out of sorts, but before I
get brave, is this correct? Is this similar to the multiswitch used in an
elliptical Dish with multiple LNB's?

Thanks in advance,

How about asking in an an appropriate newsgroup? They're more likely
to know. Try alt.dbs.echostar This group is for DirecTV.

Anyway, it looks like you need to replace the multiswitch with a SW44,
but I still think you may find better answers if you look in the right
place.

Well, I didn't know this was only DirecTV, which is actually better for me
to find, because I personally have direcTV and most systems I see are. I
figured the answer to the question would be standard, unless DirecTV doesn't
offer the dual dish system like that.

How often is the charter posted? I don't see where DirecTV is interpolated
from alt.dss.

dtv is a dss system

dish is a dbs system.

there is no charter for this alt group.

dtv uses the same type lnb and polarity to switch transponders, but the
multiswitch is different for dtv's multi-sat setup.
